{"product_id":"wollny_xxxx_2021_pia","title":"XXXX","description":"An unprecedented quartet at the top of the jazz scene. In December 2019, the famous Berlin club A-Trane hosted four luminaries of the current improvised music scene. Over eight sets spread across four nights, young piano master Michael Wollny, re-inventor of the soprano saxophone Emile Parisien, electric bass icon Tim Lefebvre (David Bowie on his last album \"Black Star\", Steely Dan, John Mayer, Toto, Tedeschi Trucks Band, etc.) and innovative drummer Christian Lillinger were given carte blanche. They had agreed on only one thing beforehand: nothing was to be composed, arranged, or planned in advance. In total, the recordings of these concerts yielded over eight hours of music. A decision was made to distil these recordings into a single album that would be more than just an auditory testament to the live concert series. Tim Lefebvre had the spark, and in February 2020, he and Michael Wollny met producer and sound engineer Jason Kingsland in Atlanta. Kingsland had not only worked with renowned indie rock and pop artists, but he was also passionate about experimentation and improvisation. The goal was to capture the exhilaration and euphoria of those four Berlin nights to create a coherent album. What emerged is an album full of joy, emotion, humor, and an almost childlike and naive pleasure in \"playing\" together.","brand":"Wollny","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55304402764120,"sku":null,"price":23872133.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0614427992413.jpg?v=1772569388","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/wollny_xxxx_2021_pia","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
