{"product_id":"white-fence_orange_2026_mdl","title":"Orange","description":"Like a flash across time (is there a word for that?), White Fence suddenly resonates in the rearview mirror. Orange hits like a punch to the gut: visceral. With each crystalline Rickenbacker note, the ticking clock ushers White Fence into a new era. Relentless! Guitars sound like a gush of fresh, trickling water. Resolutely plucked. Cold and soothing. Weaving through the jerky, nervous pop sounds of the 60s to the 2000s, the surgical precision of Orange's rock sound gives Tim Presley exactly what he needed most: an open space to sing, and songs to sing. The rest is the magic of White Fence in all its darkness, where Tim's overflowing and free imagination enchantingly transforms the suffocating limits of painful introspection, before our eyes and for the pleasure of our ears! All in pop songs. At the console with White Fence, on drums with Tim, we find Ty Segall (also producer of For the Recently Found Innocent, White Fence's last solo album). Their recording techniques, in perfect harmony with White Fence's intention, create a clear and uncluttered sound space, ideal for unfolding all the rock and ballads. Their pure lines are enveloped in a minimalist and unshakeable structure. These are hits! Tim's lyrics and chord progressions, with their perspectives, rhythms, and impactful breaks, offer eleven fleeting glimpses into the other side of the fence, each dressed in a catchy pop tune for maximal rock 'n roll. On the eponymous track, \"I Came Close, Orange For Luck,\" the dark implication of the lyrics, sumptuously blurred by Tim's haunting falsetto, weaves with threads of anguish a sunny college-rock, reminiscent of The Smiths, while moving away from them. The Lennonian vibes of \"Unread Books,\" operated through expertly intertwined Presley-esque sounds. Playing with genres throughout the album like a space-age Kinks, Tim's subtle wordplay crashes against the rock-solid edifice of the songs, pouring out an infinity of fractured, shaggy, undulating, reflected, and shattered realities. When everything moves, we move, and it's exhilarating, provided we savor the depth of a verse from \"I Wanted a Rolex\": \"It's an immense desire, impossible to satisfy.\" Orange is a still life; a concentrated blend of Tim's latest creations for his guitar band, enriched by thoughts, feelings, SONGS, and a few keyboard and synth touches from Alice Sandhal (and two drumming appearances by the excellent Dylan Hadley!). A chronology of consciousness in a trance, captured with surgical precision and","brand":"White Fence","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56721856037208,"sku":null,"price":24004183.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0781484097815.jpg?v=1771266675","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/white-fence_orange_2026_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
