{"product_id":"vladimir-tropp_fondamenta_2020_son","title":"Fondamenta","description":"« The Seasons », rarely recorded in their entirety, are a moving testament to Tchaikovsky's genius. In 1876, the monthly magazine « Nuvellist » from Saint Petersburg asked the composer to write a piece for each issue. This resulted in twelve pieces for each month of the year, with titles and epigraphs drawn from Russian poetry proposed by the publisher to the composer. Each of them draws inspiration from nature and scenes of the era's life but together creates an extraordinary fresco, an allegory of the cycle of nature and human life. Vladimir Tropp, born in 1939, is one of the last living representatives of the great Russian piano school. He has been teaching at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Gnessin Institute in Moscow since 1963, where he currently heads the piano department. His students have won the most prestigious awards (Van Cliburn, Queen Elisabeth, Long-Thibaud, Chopin Competition in Warsaw). In 1998, he won the grand prize for recordings in Japan for his album « Russian Miniatures ». He delivers here a new heartbreaking interpretation of « The Seasons », already recorded in 1995 with Denon, which was referenced alongside those of the great Konstantin Igumnov. The two Nocturnes accompany this hallucinatory recording of poetry and beauty.","brand":"Vladimir Tropp","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57578574381400,"sku":null,"price":23478219.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/vladimir-tropp_fondamenta_2020_son","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
