When I proposed this project to them, I wanted two things: to bring my group to life and to feel like family. I have known them all for many years: knowing that we are all so close provided me with an immense source of inspiration. Four years later, after multiple adventures, Living Being has evolved a lot and each of us has fully found his place within the group. We have naturally arrived at this moment where we wanted to take a 'sonic photo' of the group and fully embrace our existence. The repertoire consists of compositions, as well as two songs by artists that I particularly appreciate. 'Dream Brother', which was composed and recorded by Jeff Buckley on the album 'Grace'. A record that I have been listening to for almost forever. 'Mutinerie', which is the other cover on the album, is a piece written by my friend and companion Michel Portal. With Living Being, I wanted to give it another interpretation while preserving its essence. The theme has become a pretext for an improvisation that builds up, ending on a loop that becomes almost hypnotic. Between 'Air Song #2' inspired by Bali, which is the second part of 'Air Song', that I recorded on the album 'Thrill Box'; 'Some Monk', a tribute to the music of Thelonious Monk; 'Miniature', a very minimalist piece treated in a nearly classical manner; 'Workin' Rhythm', where different grooves articulate around the same melodic and harmonic sequence; 'On The Heights', a ballad on unknown peaks where shadow and light intertwine, or 'Suite en V', a piece originally written for a trio - cello, guitar, and accordion - and rearranged in a more electric version.\"","brand":"Vincent Peirani","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57767727792472,"sku":null,"price":23457235.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0614427958426.jpg?v=1784708021","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/vincent-peirani_living-being_2015_disco-virgin-music-group","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
