His albums reflect this paradox, navigating between mercantile antics and truly good current dancehall tracks. \"Full Frequency\" does not escape this dichotomy and gives no more reasons to absolve Sean Paul than to condemn him. The excellent coexists shamelessly with the mediocre and does not allow for a definitive judgment on the Jamaican. \"Riot\" with Damian Marley rightfully belongs to the first category, as the two men rub their smoky tones together enough to spark some fireworks. Another bonfire with Nyla (the new stage name of Nailah Thorbourne from Brick \u0026 Lace) who throws herself wholeheartedly into a \"Pornstar\" that should not be played in front of everyone. \"It's Your Life\" also finds itself in the good company with an eccentric dancehall that suits Sean Paul well. The latter even very humbly accepts to take a lesson from Konshens, a true hope of dancehall still little known, for a top-notch vocal duel on \"Want Dem All.\" He is less sprightly with \"Entertainment 2.0.\" where his rap friends (Juicy J, 2 Chainz, and Nicki Minaj) take up too much space. Similarly, the hit \"Other Side of Love\" justifies the reservations often raised about Sean Paul, who struggles here in a nameless mush. While we may remain far from \"Dutty Rock\" (2002), \"Full Frequency\" is an album all the more enjoyable as it is now extremely easy for anyone to isolate the best tracks to keep only the best.
