Originally released on VHS video and optical disc, the documentary was also released in theaters in the United States. For the live album, the band compiled five concerts in Paris (February 29, 1984), Los Angeles (April 24 and 25, 1984), San Diego (April 26, 1984), Costa Mesa (April 28, 1984), and Cologne (November 17, 1984). The recordings capture the electrifying intensity of their shows and give a clear idea of how easily they can engage the audience in different parts of the world. The core of the live program consists of the best tracks from the four previous studio albums, which in the live version once again clearly gain in sharpness, urgency, and power. 'World Wide Live' is now available as a 180g double gatefold vinyl in light orange color.
