{"product_id":"sacrafice_the-first-experience-with-the-unknown_2023_zyx","title":"The First Experience With The Unknown","description":"In the Detmold region (Westphalia, Germany), there wasn't much to do for metal fans in the first half of the 80s. Fortunately, members of two bands met in 1982 at a chip shop and recognized their shared preference for hard music thanks to their long hair, leather jackets, and mustaches, which were all the rage at the time. That's when SACRAFICE was born, later becoming a local hero—of course influenced by the NWOBHM that was spilling over into Germany, but also by the usual suspects like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, or Kiss, as well as Judas Priest and early Accept.\n\nTwo unusual choices were made at the same time: in the spirit of Def Leppard or Led Zeppelin, the band's name was deliberately changed—that is, NOT Sacrifice, but Sacrafice. And they decided not to make a typical demo tape, but a solo 12\" EP. This one is called \"The First Experience With The Unknown\" and can be bought here and now on Discogs for 120 euros and more second-hand..... But already the book \"Heavy Metal Made In Germany\", which was published in the 90s by Iron Pages, lists this record as a \"Top German Metal Rarity\". That's no wonder, because this fairly aggressive heavy rock and metal knows how to please even today—or perhaps especially today—and reminds us of the optimistic atmosphere of the German metal scene in the first half of the 80s. This also applies to the three live tracks, which were carefully restored over a few days of work.\n\nThe tracks from the following band TranQuilL (that's right, that's the correct spelling) constitute another house number. The mostly overlong songs can be classified in the heavy prog category. Due to various circumstances, these gems remained (so to speak) unreleased. Once again, a lot of time and work was invested in restoring and mastering these private studio recordings (the CD version contains six long TranQuill songs, while there was only room for two tracks on the LP, without loss of sound quality). As always, the printed inlay contains liner notes (actual interview with a former band member). Photos and other illustrations.\n\nThe CD version of the Golden Core reissue has already received very good reviews in Rock Hard and Good Times, among others!","brand":"Sacrafice","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57447880655192,"sku":null,"price":23975811.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0194111019355.jpg?v=1780612823","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/sacrafice_the-first-experience-with-the-unknown_2023_zyx","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
