The album is also inspired by contemporary artists such as Air, Khruangbin, and Darkside. A strong dreamlike atmosphere permeates the entire record, particularly through its atmospheric effects, hypnotic loops, and vaporous production. These elements also recall Wood's first solo project, Die Jungen, while the deliberately hazy character of the album creates the sensation of a half-forgotten dream. Golden Days is Saccades' most soothing album to date, featuring deep bass lines and relying more on shimmering acoustic guitars than previous releases. The album exudes an enchanting atmosphere, notably thanks to the use of effects and loops, a nod to my first solo project, Die Jungen. Wood launched Saccades in 2017 with a self-titled debut album, moving away from the dark and punchy vibes of The KVB to explore pure psychedelic melodies, the intimacy of bedroom pop, and vintage-inspired songwriting. The project's second album, Flowing Fades, was released in April 2021 and was accompanied by a tour in the UK. On this album, Wood enriched Saccades' sound palette by incorporating elements of yacht rock and vintage synthesizers, while maintaining the laid-back and carefree atmosphere of the project. Saccades returned in 2023 with *Land of the Hearth*, a more electronic album with Balearic accents, preserving the dreamy vibe that had made the project famous. In 2025, Wood unveiled a series of Saccades singles, including \"Sightseer\" and \"Greek Fire,\" exploring a lo-fi pop direction with marked hauntological influences.
