During the creation of this album, they played at festivals around the world, in Japan and China, and toured North America with The Interrupters, among others. Yet, despite these global adventures, it is their home that inspires them the most. Their third album, ‘SUBURBIA CALLING,’ explores their roots in Essex, capturing the essence of their environment with local stories that blend catchy melodies and infectious rhythms. The album is inspired by Britpop, 90s indie, and the groove of 2-Tone. Jordan Cardy, the singer, explains: “I wanted to sing about Essex. It’s home to us, and there’s so much to tell.” RAT BOY is completed by Liam Haygarth (bass), Harry Todd (guitar), and Noah Booth (drums).
