{"product_id":"philippe-sarde_loulou_2022_pia","title":"Loulou","description":"Larry Coryell (guitar), Hubert Laws (flute), Vladimir Cosma (orchestrations) and Maestro Philippe Sarde are all featured on this brand new mini album! In 1968, the future composer of \"Les Choses de la Vie\" seriously considered becoming a director. He directed \"Florence\", a short film influenced by the New Wave, and composed its soundtrack, under the benevolent eye of Vladimir Cosma. The film's first viewers were unanimous: although they hadn't seen a visionary cinematographic work, they had discovered a true film musician. From this first attempt, Philippe Sarde asserted his melodic talent on screen and initiated his sense of counterpoint. This seminal soundtrack remained unheard for over 50 years, before finding a prime spot on the B-side of our album. To kick things off, we offer another forgotten score: the almost unused score for Loulou, Maurice Pialat's cult film. In 1980, the naturalist director considered using original music to accompany the wanderings of his sublime loving duo, embodied by Gérard Depardieu and Isabelle Huppert. He commissioned Philippe Sarde to create a stripped-down, impressionistic score, then changed his mind and kept only a timid end credit. Yet the encounter between the two giants of French cinema did take place, as evidenced by the first side of this beautiful record. This album was produced from a high-definition transfer of the analog tapes, without compression or retouching, and respecting the dynamics of the original recordings.","brand":"Philippe Sarde","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55304313504088,"sku":null,"price":23957498.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3760370260721.jpg?v=1769712209","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/philippe-sarde_loulou_2022_pia","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
