{"product_id":"oriane-lacaille_iviv_2023_pia","title":"iViV","description":"Oriane Lacaille, a singer-songwriter and singer-percussionist of Réunionese origin, presents iViV, her first album released under her own name. Among the Lacailles, accordionist René was one of the innovators of Réunionnais music in the 1970s, alongside his companions Alain Péters and Danyel Waro. Oriane, his daughter, who grew up in mainland France but was steeped in the island's maloya and séga, now perpetuates this family tradition, which, among the generations preceding hers, was forbidden to women. Also having inherited the idea that music is a collective gesture that embraces the community, she long expressed herself with others, notably within the duos Titi Zaro (with Coline Linder) and Bonbon Vodou (with JereM Boucris). Oriane Lacaille, a singer-percussionist who also plays the ukulele and aouicha (a small Gnawa guembri), is not alone on iViV, for which she composed most of the tracks. Héloïse Divilly (drums) and Yann-Lou Bertrand (double bass, trumpet, flute), also involved in vocal harmonies, accompany her on songs swayed by the island's ternary rhythms. She also invites some notable guests: Piers Faccini, who insisted she launch her solo career, Leyla McCalla, Laura Cahen, Loy Ehrlich (Hadouk Trio), and of course, René Lacaille. With the gentleness of nursery rhymes or the ardor of trance, Oriane Lacaille sings of her joys and angers, assimilating her family heritage into a strong personality, on iViV, an album that marks the blossoming of her creolized journey.","brand":"Oriane Lacaille","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55304258781528,"sku":null,"price":23969230.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5051083196062_4a78af46-5c9c-4120-b438-b8c37b5169a7.jpg?v=1772564772","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/oriane-lacaille_iviv_2023_pia","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
