The soloists chosen for this project play instruments not commonly used in this context and are inspired and creative musicians, sensitive to this so-called classical formation. The musicians contacted for this project are all familiar with orchestral experience and are high-flying soloists renowned for their instrumental talent, such as saxophonist Eric Séva, harmonica player Olivier Ker Ourio, violinist Christophe Giovaninetti... and Khalil Chahine on guitar, who is also the composer of all the pieces on this album.\n\/\/ Hope: The main inspiration for this project is rooted in the world of poetry. To nourish it, Chahine delved into a repertoire of famous poems, masterpieces of French literature. Among these, \"Les Roses de Saadi\" by Desbordes-Valmore, \"Sensation\" by Arthur Rimbaud, \"Puisque\" by Victor Hugo, or \"Beams\" by Verlaine stood out. Chahine also drew inspiration from other great poets such as Baudelaire (L'invitation), De Nerval (Avril), and others, who are in the collective memory.\nThrough these poems, Chahine sought to master not only the beauty of the words but also their rhythms through scansion and their colors through their sound. Each verse was a means to imagine a series of compositions. These were arranged taking into account the balance between a free and informal rhythm and a precise and rigorous writing for the winds.
