This album presents the most important culturally significant pages from the rediscovered and still unpublished archives: Pietro Mascagni conducting his own works (including the Intermezzo from Cavalleria rusticana); the baritone Titta Ruffo, rival of Caruso, singing Largo al factotum; the legendary violinist Vása Príhoda performing Dvorák and Elgar; the tenor Julius Patzak in the aria of Ottavio from Don Giovanni; as well as international stars like Louis Armstrong and Lale Andersen delivering some jazz standards.
