This work was also extended in the meantime by an eponymous documentary, made based on interviews conducted as part of the preparation for the 2008 exhibition. For this new compilation, the work involved delving ever deeper into the vein of previous research, in order to unearth rare tracks – whose original pressings are now unavailable or sell for exorbitant prices at record conventions and on specialized sales sites – but also to extract from the creative crucible of the Frenchy (but chic!) 80s – which seems decidedly inexhaustible – period tracks that have remained completely unreleased to this day, and finally make them accessible to the public, more than thirty years after their creation for most of them. Thus, out of the thirteen tracks on the tracklist of this volume 2, six are completely unreleased. From a musical standpoint, the selection of tracks in this volume 2 aims to be less generalist and eclectic than that of the first compilation.
