{"product_id":"mono_snowdrop_2026_mdl","title":"Snowdrop","description":"When MONO recorded their previous album, OATH, with their longtime friend and collaborator Steve Albini in 2023, the band had no idea it would be their final studio album together. Albini tragically passed away the following year, a loss that plunged MONO into deep grief and great uncertainty. Albini had become a fundamental part of their sound, and the idea of replacing him was daunting, to say the least. That is when Brad Wood (Touché Amoré, The Smashing Pumpkins) entered the picture. Chosen for his deep understanding of MONO's creative and technical process, as well as his long-standing friendship with Steve Albini, Brad Wood took over Albini's legendary Electrical Audio studios in September 2025 to record what would become Snowdrop. Collaborating once again with Chicago-based conductor and music director Chad McCullough, MONO assembled an orchestra of ten musicians and an eight-person choir for the eight imposing tracks that make up Snowdrop. Where a melancholic atmosphere might have loomed over Snowdrop, what reigns instead is a profound sense of gratitude. The album expresses a poignant appreciation for the echoes of a life well lived with a dear friend, and hope for the future. Snowdrop is the sound of a band transforming shock and sorrow into hope and wonder, finding new momentum in the freedom of the unknown.","brand":"MONO","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57086322737496,"sku":null,"price":24004306.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0656605445311.jpg?v=1775858005","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/mono_snowdrop_2026_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
