So when on the evening of August 17, 1988, André Damon had the idea to program a duo with Michel Petrucciani, the results exceeded his expectations. The meeting of the two greats took place at the \"Petit Journal Montparnasse\": sweltering heat, a full house, and nearly 300 people at the door, disappointed not to be able to attend the concert. Our obsession, Francis Dreyfus and I, was to renew this extraordinary musical experience. Michel Petrucciani, traveling the globe, was rarely available. In July 1993, Michel and Eddy found themselves face to face at the Montreux Festival for a \"Dreyfus Night,\" in a sumptuous \"Summertime\" where the evident complicity of these two great artists already shone through. The long-awaited meeting finally took place on May 31, 1994, at the Maison de la Radio, in front of an attentive audience of friends, musicians, artists, and journalists from all specialized media. After a warm and oh-so-enthusiastic welcome from all the participants, Eddy and Michel wished to keep a phonographic record of their collaboration, which was recorded over three magical evenings at the \"Petit Journal Montparnasse\" on June 14, 15, and 16, 1994.
