{"product_id":"lionel-meunier_motets-lintegrale_2015","title":"Motets - L'intégrale","description":"After its successes in the field of German Baroque sacred music, VOX LUMINIS here offers the first complete recording of the motets by Johann Sebastian Bach’s ancestors. These motets, most of which are written for double choir, combine the old tradition inherited from Renaissance polyphony with expressive writing inspired by madrigal forms. The chorale melodies that are very frequently associated with these motets give them that typical color of the Lutheran liturgical repertoire. It was largely in his family tradition that Johann Sebastian Bach drew on to approach this genre and master this writing, archaic for its time. The closeness between his compositions and those of his ancestors is striking, and it is not without reason that the motet Ich lasse nicht nicht is attributed sometimes to Johann Sebastian, sometimes to his uncle Johann Christoph. But beyond these historical considerations, these motets are imbued with a touching, humble, and profound emotion that the talent of the singers of Vox Luminis brings to the exceptional level to which the ensemble has accustomed us!","brand":"Lionel Meunier","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58794675536216,"sku":null,"price":23008197.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5400439003477.jpg?v=1792017309","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/lionel-meunier_motets-lintegrale_2015","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
