Her musical manuscripts were recently discovered, and the director of the Victor Hugo Museums in Paris\/Guernsey decided to entrust them to composer Richard Dubugnon for him to study and reconstruct this puzzle of (often fragmentary) scores forgotten for over a century… Fourteen melodies emerged from poems by Victor Hugo and excerpts from Les Misérables, as well as five melodies without lyrics. The Victor Hugo Orchestra and its musical director Jean-François Verdier logically joined the project and asked Dubugnon to orchestrate these pieces.
