{"product_id":"jeremy-bruger_jubilation-digipack_2013","title":"Jubilation - Digipack","description":"Jeremy Bruger has grown up from a very young age in an artistic and musical environment. He began studying the piano at the age of 10 and, after classical training in Le Havre, devoted himself mainly to jazz. Deeply inspired both by the tradition of jazz history and by the new generation, his playing blends influences from Herbie Hancock, Ahmad Jamal, Hank Jones, as well as Marcus Roberts and Bill Charlap. “This first album is for me an opportunity to pay tribute to a few pianists who influenced me and to play some of their compositions. They are all fabulous performers who shaped this music, each in turn leaving their mark on it. To mention only the pianists, listening to Herbie Hancock, Ahmad Jamal, and Hank Jones, who were the main source of my inspiration, led me to discover other wonderful pianists who made their mark on labels such as Riverside, Prestige, Argo, Cadet... In all of them, one finds a taste for tradition and blues, but also for bebop harmonies, innovation, and all this through very different personalities. I think it is this timeless blend of classicism and modernity that makes the labels we want to attach to them so difficult. And so I understood that there are no shortcuts, and that it is through an approach that pushes us to understand and absorb the history and tradition of jazz, with the respect due to the elders and a thirst for discovery, that one can assert one’s own personality in order to finally become oneself. I surrounded myself with Raphael Devers and Mourad Benhamou to play this music. These two long-time accomplices, who are regulars on the Black and Blue label, form a rhythmic tandem of always relevant finesse, constantly at the service of the music. And this perfect symbiosis between them is the ideal ally for giving free rein to one’s ideas in the best possible conditions. Jubilation (feminine singular noun): intense, expansive and lively joy. I chose to title my album ‘Jubilation’ because I believe this word perfectly describes jazz. This music so generous, organic, and synonymous with sharing. Playing, and thus celebrating life, quite simply.” Jeremy Bruger","brand":"Jérémy Bruger","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58738700288344,"sku":null,"price":22920072.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3348961077226.jpg?v=1791759615","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/jeremy-bruger_jubilation-digipack_2013","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
