The roundness, depth, and fluidity of the original performance are present, along with the brass and woody color of the saxophone. One can even hear the bow strokes and the lightness of the trills on the cello's fingerboard. Similarly, the Partita in A minor for flute is performed on the soprano saxophone, which, with the judicious resonance of the recording venue, adapts superbly to the work. The brilliance and sparkle of the instrument's timbre are particularly appreciated here. The warm and clear sound, tinged with melancholy, of the alto saxophone illuminates the Partita No. 2 in D minor for violin with its melodic swirls and airy delicacy. Combining finesse and virtuosity, Arno Bornkamp's interpretation is remarkable. His agility and musicality captivate the listener throughout. Beautiful work!
