'Power of Soul' is his best-known album and is one of the reasons why Idris Muhammad is considered the groove drum king. Featuring Bob James' arrangements and keyboards, Grover Washington, Jr.'s saxophone punch, guitarist Joe Beck, trumpeter Randy Brecker, percussionist Ralph MacDonald, and Creed Taylor's smooth production, this 1974 album is a burning piece of deep, jazzy soul and grooved bliss. The album includes the song \"Loran's Dance\", which received considerable airplay on jazz radio stations and was sampled by Beastie Boys (\"To All The Girls\" and \"B-Boy Bouillabaisse\") and Fatboy Slim (\"The Weekend Starts Here\"). \"Power Of Soul\" was sampled by Notorious B.I.G. (\"Ready To Die\") and The Game featuring Anderson.Paak (\"80s and Cocaine\"). 'Power of Soul' is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on translucent yellow coloured vinyl.","brand":"Idris Muhammad","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55307574182232,"sku":null,"price":23836230.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/8719262005068_203a76a4-e6af-4f6e-b6d7-8bf2a40840d5.jpg?v=1760299018","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/idris-muhammad_power-of-soulvinyle-noir-audiophile-180gr_2018_ber","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
