{"product_id":"holly-johnson_europa-edition-deluxe_2014","title":"Europa - Deluxe Edition","description":"Holly Johnson (William Johnson), born in Liverpool on February 9, 1960, is a British singer and songwriter. He was the frontman of the bands BIG IN JAPAN and FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD. Coming from the punk rock\/new wave scene, he first played bass in the band BIG IN JAPAN. He released two solo singles. From 1982, he was part of the band FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, with whom he found fame as a singer and lyricist. In 1983, the band’s first single was released under the title Relax. The lyrics, cover and video caused shock and led to censorship by the BBC, which greatly contributed to the band’s notoriety. It was on this occasion that HOLLY JOHNSON and another member of the band (Paul Rutherford) revealed their homosexuality. He had other successes with the band (Two Tribes, The power of love, Welcome to the Pleasuredome, Rage Hard...) until 1987. After a European tour, the band split up. Like the other members of the band, HOLLY JOHNSON launched a solo career and once again reached No. 1 in England with the track Blast! In 1991, HOLLY JOHNSON learned that he was HIV-positive, he withdrew from the music world and made his condition public in 1993. Since then, he has mainly devoted himself to painting (he exhibits), but in 1994 he also released an autobiography that was acclaimed by critics. He returns on his own label PLEASUREDOME with his first album in over 15 years! Includes the single \"Follow your He art\". The tracks are cheerful and optimistic, 30 years after the hit \"Relax\" and show that HOLLY JOHNSON has not lost his creativity despite his illness. The album is produced by MARK RALPH (HOT CHIP, FRANZ FERDINAND).","brand":"Holly Johnson","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58783053513048,"sku":null,"price":22931685.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/5060113950031.jpg?v=1791931545","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/holly-johnson_europa-edition-deluxe_2014","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
