{"product_id":"fabrice-fallandry_le-gout-de-leffort_2019","title":"Le Goût de l’’effort","description":"A bridge between American music and Francophone poetry, Fabrice Falandry is also an undisputed master of the Weissenborn and Lap Steel, crowned by The Weissenborn Information Exchange in 2016, a title that allows him to perform all over France. He shares the stage and opening acts with Tété, Jérémy Frerot, and between Michel Jonaz and Sanseverino at the Ferté Jazz Festival. With \"Le Goût de l'Effort,\" this guitarist enriches his solo formula by collaborating with members of the Yokatta Brothers: Stephane Bihan (double bass), Willie Metho and Manu Poliautre (harmonica), and Julien Mahieux (drums) on 3 of the 5 tracks that make up this EP, a mix of live and studio recordings. The EP opens with a drum shuffle. Undoubtedly, \"l'Envie\" is the most Blues track in this collection. This contemporary Blues, written during the Yellow Vest movement, tells the disillusionment of a character who has followed society's codes to the detriment of his own desires. The rhythm section brilliantly highlights the monotony of a laborious life, while Finnish harmonica player Willie Metho powerfully expresses all the anger and rage of the protagonist. The listening continues with \"Au Creux des verres.\" An acoustic Blues ballad that recalls the guitar playing of a certain Eric Bibb. This track was already released as a single in early spring 2019 and received a warm welcome from lovers of the six-string. \"The artist accompanies himself on guitar, adds some Lap Steel arrangements, and delivers a scathing observation on the state of our planet, finding the right rhyme and the appropriate word at every moment to emphasize the gravity of the situation without falling into pathos,\" excerpted from the Zicazic Review. \"Le Crue\" was recorded live during a public session. This track charms us from the first notes with its Cajun style, wonderfully accompanied by washboard from Julien Mahieux and double bass in a \"Johnny Cash\" style by Stephane Bihan. \"La crue\" puts us in the shoes of a character who, too absorbed by screens, does not realize that the information he is consuming directly concerns him. A stroke of genius! Fabrice Falandry recycles a recurring theme from country blues standards to address a decidedly current issue: information overload and digital isolation. \"Le Goût de l'Effort\" starts with a catchy Weissenborn riff. Worthy of Ben Harper, the guitar sound, the voice, and the atmosphere are all there! A lament about couple relationships that transcends genres, and that's an understatement: The catchy chorus instantly sticks in your memory, the bridge resembles Ry Cooder accompanied by Queens of the Stone Age. A nod from the artist to his 90's rock influences. We are literally taken on a musical road trip throughout this track.","brand":"Fabrice Fallandry","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58239972311384,"sku":null,"price":24075142.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3770008614208.jpg?v=1787438082","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/fabrice-fallandry_le-gout-de-leffort_2019","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
