Composed over a period of nine months, the album was recorded at Studio Delux in Van Nuys (California), at Dog House in Woodland Hills (California), and at Blakeslee Recording in North Hollywood (California). The day before he left for Los Angeles for pre-production, the initial producer, David Bianco, tragically passed away. It was then that Bianco's manager suggested Matt Wallace. \"I had heard about his work and the artists he has produced, like Maroon 5, Faith No More, and all those bands. When we met, it was simply perfect. I trusted him, and it was great.
