{"product_id":"emma-ruth-rundle_may-our-chambers-be-full_2020","title":"May Our Chambers Be Full","description":"Born from a proposal by Walter Hoeijmakers, the organizer of the Roadburn Festival, shared acquaintances, and a mutual love for each other's works, May Our Chambers Be Full is the first recording of a collaboration between Emma Ruth Rundle and Thou. Although their solo works may seem quite heterogeneous at first glance, both have spent their respective careers at the edges of the heavy metal scene and share a common background in DIY punk and grunge. May Our Chambers Be Full is coherent both in music and in the themes addressed. While Emma Ruth Rundle's repertoire blends folk music with post-rock accents, Thou is primarily known for its sludge\/doom metal. The meeting of the two artists has given birth to an album that leans towards the sound of early 90s Seattle and episodes of Alternative Nation from the late 90s, while retaining the unique characteristics of the artists. Similarly, the lyrics of the album are a mix of trauma, existential crises, and ecstasy in the tradition of the expressionist dance movement. Melodic, melancholic, heavy, visceral. The visual art accompanying this work was created in collaboration with the remarkable photographer Craig Mulcahy from New Orleans. The faceless and genderless models emphasize this pervasive state of ambiguity and emotional wavering, with the images situated somewhere between modern high fashion and classical Renaissance.","brand":"Emma Ruth Rundle","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58295698686296,"sku":null,"price":24001732.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0843563128626.jpg?v=1787870007","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/emma-ruth-rundle_may-our-chambers-be-full_2020","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
