{"product_id":"denis-gancel-quartet_bric-a-brac_2019","title":"Bric-à-brac","description":"Chamber orchestra with his brothers and sisters, normal school of music during his studies, classical concerts during his HEC years: from his childhood to today, Denis Gancel and the piano have never parted ways, even if he has most often used it in its classical form. Yet, jazz has always been there, almost from the beginning. An unconditional passion, deeply rooted. And then there’s Jacques Loussier. A close friend, it was on the wise advice of the famous pianist that Denis decided one day to dive into jazz. Into his jazz. To abandon the standards played a thousand times to write his own compositions. So Denis began to fill pages with notes. Voraciously. Compulsively. Like a sapphire that continues to explore the groove that the Denis Gancel Quartet enjoys digging, pleasure is the guide of this Bric A Brac. The pleasure of playing with his accomplices. Of traversing multiple layers of emotions, moving through sadness, joy, nostalgia, present happiness, and melancholy. The pleasure of offering a microphone to Yasmin Sha and letting her lay her languorous voice on two tracks, the pleasure of opening a space for Jacques Berecochea's trumpet. Letting calm succeed the tumult. Breathing in the sea air, that of the cliffs of Etretat or that of the Basque Country, places that Denis Gancel cherishes so much. Allowing oneself to be carried by the quartet in this Bric A Brac where we will return several times to get lost, the paths taken varying with each listen.","brand":"Denis Gancel Quartet","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58079109742936,"sku":null,"price":23175718.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3521383456538.jpg?v=1787265829","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/denis-gancel-quartet_bric-a-brac_2019","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
