The first track features Solo (ex-Assassin) and Kalash, who blast our ears from the start. Three generations of hip-hoppers united in a single block on Hip-Hop tradition, which inevitably lives up to its name. The lads trip fiercely over a Tuff Crew-style beat, delivering lyrics in service of hip-hop. Dee Nasty, the killer, dealer of emotions, serves up the sauce, proving he never lets up with his flawless scratches. On Bum rush and Peace and unity (a cover of the only track produced by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Beat bop), the old-timers Dynamax and Grandmaster Caz (a heavyweight, member of the Cold Crush Brothers, originator of Rapper's delight) offer us a concentrated dose of pure old-school.The very pleasant surprise then comes with the Scienz Of Life crew. This ultra-powerful New York trio lays down a swift flow on Pirates, at times evoking the style of Capone and Noreaga, perhaps rougher. The Scienz navigate a perfectly smooth atmosphere, complete with floating effects and synth pads that gently tickle the audience's eardrums. One of the finest loops from Dr Old School, who outdoes himself here by finishing his instrumental softly. Dee Nasty also delivers another time bomb, with one of the rising stars of the moment: the Anti Pop Consortium collective. Mr Sayyid and High Priest chant their lines on Looking glass, with scratched choruses (Speaking real word by the group Esoteric) and well-offset beats, with a benevolent nonchalance that perfectly suits the Frenchie's sounds. The full package.Back to France with the young MCs of Octobre Rouge who let loose on Ding dong, an epileptic track, filled with demonstrative rage and a very nervous rhythm, dotted with dark sound effects. Young Kaïna brings her touch of sensitivity on J'ai tout and La Poesia, two rather minimalist opuses that vibrate warmly between soul and hot funk. Silver medal for Cuban percussionist Miguel \"Anga\" Diaz, who battles frantically with furious scratches for a superbly orchestrated explosive split. Not content with delivering such beautiful pieces, the master of the turntables also punctuates his work with brief interludes often close to downtempo (Etat de grâce) or abstract hip-hop (Scratch 2 the funk), allowing the tracks to flow together seamlessly.Dee Nasty thus settles in beautifully with this eclectic and rather successful opus. Like a sound scientist, living near a mountain of vinyl, he presents us with a record that oscillates between soul, electro, or funk, but always lands on the feet of hip-hop. Dee Nasty truly poured his guts into Nastyness. A very good vintage 2001.","brand":"Dee Nasty","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57469658399064,"sku":null,"price":23907807.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0619091144618.jpg?v=1780871598","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/dee-nasty_nastyness_2024_disco-vinymatic-records","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
