The EP by DEATH WARRANT, aptly titled \"Ecstasy\", is one of the most exciting rarities that German heavy metal has produced. The core of the band from Baden-Württemberg formed as early as the 70s and, after a few lineup changes, finally called itself Death Warrant. The first demos were recorded in 1980\/1981 and were able to be preserved and reworked for these reissues. The proof that Death Warrant was one of the very first German metal bands is irrefutable. The owner of the local pub then financed the highly motivated band's vinyl EP, famous in collector circles, which was recorded at Antoni Records studio. The logo of this company is visible on the record, but it is still a self-release. Four songs were recorded (still in 1984), which capture the zeitgeist of the early years of German metal. The fact that the musicians already had experience can be heard in the tracks, because despite the rough shell, there is no \"grinding\". Unfortunately, some members did not want to take the next step and the band split up. An unplayed EP was recorded and cleaned by Patrick Engel, then the material, including the early demos, was restored and remastered by Neudi. The booklet or LP sleeve contains a long interview with singer Wolfgang Marquart, who is now a piano teacher.
