{"product_id":"commitment_fear-of_2026_disco-bertus-france","title":"Fear Of","description":"The commitment was inevitable. Guitarist Jake Smith and drummer Pierce Jordan had known each other for years, friends and musicians in Philadelphia. They wanted to explore a more direct and punchy sound as songwriters, taking on roles they had held before, but never together. Smith and Jordan spent months playing together, taming their respective styles and viewpoints, without settling on a name or their influences until the lineup was complete.While the commitment is clearly about paving the way for new experiences, it is also about strengthening existing bonds. For the band, Smith convinced his longtime friend, Zach Bailey, to come out of rock'n'roll retirement to play bass. Without wanting to make an immediate decision about the other members, Smith and Jordan knew they were looking for someone who had never played in a band before. A newcomer, regardless of their position, brings a fresh perspective and a different approach, and at the front of a band, they usually inject a raw energy that is often irreplaceable. They found it in Tati Salazar. Tati had primarily focused on a solo career under the name The Childlike Empress (now known as Le Siren), having built a solid reputation. True to her musical habits, but a novice when it came to singing in a hardcore punk band, Tati threw herself in headfirst, fitting so naturally into the role of vocalist that the other band members initially struggled to rehearse or even properly grasp their new songs without her.","brand":"Commitment","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57317259247960,"sku":null,"price":23931193.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0634457246645.jpg?v=1779111661","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/commitment_fear-of_2026_disco-bertus-france","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
