{"product_id":"chime-oblivion_chime-oblivion_2025_dif","title":"Chime Oblivion","description":"CHIME OBLIVION began quite by accident. David Barbarossa contacted John Dwyer to say he was a fan of OSEES and was invited to a show in London. The two hung out and hit it off, \"then my rabbit also covered Bow wow wow...\" Dwyer remembers. \"I reached out to David and suggested we try to write some tunes together... I flew David out, we met in my studio, and spent five days just writing basin drum ideas.\" The two got to know each other and shared many laughs. Dwyer then reached out to Weasel Walter, knowing he would be perfect \"to add all those weird, legitimate, old-school proto-punk guitar scratches to it, which of course he did masterfully.\" Next came Tom Dolas to play the fuzzy marimba, and the fabulous H.L. Nelly, \"as I knew her from a record I had released at the time for a band called Naked Lights from Oakland. I knew she could nail the vocal style I had in mind.\" Together, the group created their debut self-titled album, scheduled for release via Deathgod on April 18th. CHIME OBLIVION will be released as a 12\" 45 RPM vinyl, CD, and digitally. Today, they share the first taste of the album, in the form of the lead single, \"NEIGHBORHOOD DOG.\" \"For fans of Adam \u0026 the Ants, Bow Wow Wow, Crass, The Slits, and all the other wacky punk we fell in love with in our youth.\"","brand":"Chime Oblivion","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55307437801816,"sku":null,"price":23992237.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0657628452317_66fc956e-a6c3-494d-ad53-bc66c165b143.jpg?v=1760302099","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/chime-oblivion_chime-oblivion_2025_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
