From the very beginning, Kirill told me that for this film to work, we absolutely had to 'keep the right to be bold.' That meant starting from my delicate, atmospheric 'ghost story' piano introduction and evolving it into the themes of 'The Sisters' and 'The Immortal' by leaning heavily into aggressive synthesizers. But the score became much more than just a synthesizer piece. Treating the 'Maria Reeves' theme with a blend of classical guitar and synthesizers revealed an eclectic color I had never explored before, mixing acoustic and electric guitars with orchestral elements. The challenge was to compose massive, explosive sequences like 'The Fight,' capable of amplifying the film's hyper-violent tone while preserving its emotional core. It was an iterative and deeply collaborative process that made the music bolder and more impactful than I could have imagined.
