First, Anthony Joseph, the label's first artist, hails from Trinidad and is a connoisseur of Calypso, Soca, and Rapso. He has shared the stage multiple times with his idol, Calypso Rose, who was slated to participate in his last album recorded in Trinidad. Then, Guts immersed himself in Trinidadian music to unearth its gems and find samples that would form the basis of his hits \"Brand New Revolution\" and \"Man Funk.\" He also included several Trini tracks on his famous \"Beach Diggin'\" compilations. Blundetto had the opportunity to remix Calypso Rose's sublime version of \"Calypso Blues\" with his partner Bigga Ranx. Finally, Heavenly Sweetness recently signed David Walters, a proponent of pan-Caribbean music who has blended Creole sounds with modern electronic production. He holds boundless admiration for the Queen of Calypso, whom he heard as a child throughout the French Caribbean.
