{"product_id":"brylho_brylho_2025_mdl","title":"Brylho","description":"A true embodiment of Brazilian boogie, this album is the first official reissue of Brylho’s self-titled album, which was released in Rio de Janeiro in 1978 under the name Brylho da Cidade. It was influenced by the Black Rio movement, led by artists such as Tim Maia and Cassiano. The band features several talented musicians, including Arnaldo Brandão (bass and vocals), Cláudio Zoli (guitar and vocals), and Ricardo Cristaldi (keyboards). Cláudio Zoli is also a significant figure in 1980s Brazilian funk. This album contains one of 1983's biggest hits, \"Noite do Prazer\". Often described as Rio de Janeiro's answer to George Benson's \"Give Me the Night\", it is a timeless classic that bridges funk, soul, and Brazilian grooves. Among the standout tracks, \"Se Você For a Salvador\" is joyful and bright, to the point of having inspired a new name for this musical style: Brazilian City Pop. It also includes tracks made for dancing like \"Jóia Rara\", \"Destrava Maria\" subtly blending soul and reggae, \"Cheque Sem Fundo\" which originally borrows from rap and funk, and \"Pé de Guerra\", which combines samba and rhythms from Bahia. The album concludes with two overlooked jazz-funk gems: \"Meditando\" and \"171\". Leaning more towards the polished jazz-funk sound of the 1980s, they are reminiscent of some 1980s British bands like Level 42.","brand":"Brylho","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55311877538136,"sku":null,"price":23992476.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3700604771470_f152f553-17b3-4ddd-85f4-217a05b58fa3.jpg?v=1765824286","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/brylho_brylho_2025_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
