{"product_id":"bill-wyman_back-to-basics_2015","title":"Back to basics","description":"It all began when Bill Wyman rediscovered nearly 60 unused tracks while archiving old demos. The bassist selected five of them, to which he added eight new compositions. “Back To Basics” was thus born. The artist says that during the recording, he was influenced by the likes of JJ Cale, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen. In the studio, he was joined by guitarist and longtime collaborator Terry Taylor, along with Guy Fletcher, Graham Broad and Robbie McIntosh, all under the direction of co-producer Andy Wright (Jeff Beck, Eurythmics). “Back To Basics” is therefore Wyman’s first solo album since his self-titled 1982 release, and the fourth of his solo career. “Basically, I thought I was a bit too old for all that,” the musician explains in the press release. “But then I thought back to all the old bluesmen who played until they died, so why not me?” The former Rolling Stones member never completely stopped playing, as he launched his own band, the Rythm Kings, in the late 90s. Since leaving the Stones in 1993, Bill Wyman has composed for television and film, written several books, held several photo exhibitions, created his own restaurant and even filed a patent for a metal detector.","brand":"Bill Wyman","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":58794684842328,"sku":null,"price":23008311.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0805520031257.jpg?v=1792017589","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/bill-wyman_back-to-basics_2015","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
