But this is almost a detail in the face of such musical success. Essential! Rightly acclaimed as one of the best achievements of 2009, \"The Underfall Yard\" firmly established BIG BIG TRAIN as one of the forces to be reckoned with in the realm of Progressive rock. Presented as a pause before the next studio album, \"Far Skies Deep Time\" will undoubtedly do nothing to contest this fact! Released the following year, this record of about forty minutes reaches its peak with a track of over 17 minutes, \"The Wide Open Sea.\" Notably, Nick D'Virgilio is once again behind the drums, along with the remarkable guitar appearance of a certain Dave Gregory, guitarist of XTC. Despite a respectable start in the early nineties, nothing could have predicted that Big Big Train would become one of the most admired formations in current Progressive rock, alongside Spock's Beard or The Flower Kings. The English musicians, now officially bolstered by American drummer Nick D'Virgilio (Spock's Beard) and Swedish guitarist Rikard Sjöblom (Beardfish), did not need a new masterpiece to stay at the top. And yet... \"Folklore\" arrives today on our turntables, and it is another shock! Once again, one might be tempted to say. From the very first title track, the tone is set: effective lyrics, catchy keyboards, fluid guitars, complex arrangements, subtle intertwining of strings and flutes, mystical and folkloric atmospheres elegantly responding to each other...
