In just five years (from 2003 to 2008), the Ferré brothers indeed recorded some of the most beautiful discographic traces of their career. This \"condensed\" timeline would fully justify this retrospective in the form of a \"best of\" of the five albums released at the time. However, it is actually the conjunction of a set of parameters that accounts for this remarkable \"precipitate.\" From The Rainbow of Life (2003) to Brothers to Brothers (2008), significant consistencies emerge: the companionship with pianist Alain Jean-Marie, first and foremost, at the heart of the sound of the Ferré music during this period; the notable participation of Stéphane Belmondo (trumpet, bugle), soon followed by his brother Lionel (saxophone), both of whom enrich and broaden textures and vision at just the right moment; and finally, the stimulating support of the Internationales de la Guitare in Montpellier, which allowed Boulou \u0026 Elios to fully express their creativity by inviting a host of prestigious guests (Didier Lockwood, Philip Catherine, Michel Portal, Georges Moustaki…). At a crossroads, the album Parisian Passion (2005), crowned with a Django d’Or, sets the tone here with a Soir de Paris emblematic of the Ferré art, which is further sublimated throughout this shimmering sound garland. It should be noted that the collaboration with sound engineer Gérard de Haro, from Studios La Buissonne in Pernes-les-Fontaines (84), greatly contributes to sealing the exciting aesthetic coherence of this ensemble.
