{"product_id":"barbez_elegy-for-gaza_2026_mdl","title":"Elegy For Gaza","description":"Elegy for Gaza, Barbez’s first release in six years, is a call for peace and a lament for the victims of the war in Gaza. “Our music is often inspired by historical events, struggles for human rights, and poetry,” explains Dan Kaufman, the group’s main composer. “All these elements are intimately intertwined in this piece. We see this music as a modest gesture of solidarity with the citizens of Gaza, and particularly with its children.” The cover, created by visual artist Adam O’Neal, is based on a photograph by Palestinian photojournalist Said Khatib, who gave his consent for the interpretation. The Arabic calligraphy is the work of Lebanese fashion designer Gabi Asfour (threeASFOUR), and the Arabic poem on side A was translated by his sister, Nana Asfour, a journalist and editor. Illustrations are by Heung-Heung Chin, graphic designer for John Zorn’s Tzadik label. Recording and mixing were done by Martin Bisi at B.C. Studio. Recorded in the studio in Brooklyn and mastered by Fred Kevorkian at Kevorkian Mastering, also in Brooklyn. Proceeds will be donated to World Central Kitchen and the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund.","brand":"Barbez","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56621612630360,"sku":null,"price":23644263.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0634413121733.jpg?v=1771011157","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/barbez_elegy-for-gaza_2026_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
