{"product_id":"atoms-for-peace_amok_2013_wag","title":"AMOK","description":"Having just finished the \"In Rainbows\" tour with Radiohead, on October 2, 2009, Thom Yorke performed at the Echoplex in Los Angeles with a dream cast to promote his first solo album, \"The Eraser,\" released three years earlier. The following year, the group gave eight performances in the United States, and played an unreleased track for the first time, \"Judge Jury and Executioner,\" as Atoms For Peace. The group, consisting of Thom Yorke on vocals, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on bass, producer Nigel Godrich on guitar\/bass\/synths, percussionist Mauro Refosco, and Beck and R.E.M. drummer Joey Waroncker, generated a lot of buzz. Media and Radiohead fans circulated many rumors, often unfounded, about a possible album from the group. But it wasn't until four years later that Atoms For Peace's first album, \"Amok,\" was released. Before entering the studio, the band had no real compositions; they began improvising ten hours a day before a song embryo emerged. Atoms For Peace is much more than a superposition of talents; the group wrote real songs, striking a good compromise between Thom Yorke's desire to release an electronic music album and his fans' desire to hear him sing. \"Amok\" is the result of three days of sessions recorded at Flea's home. On this album, the group blurs the lines, making it difficult for the listener to dissociate the instruments played by the band from the purely digital compositions. Often compared to \"The Eraser,\" this new album is much more melodic and should unite all Radiohead fans.","brand":"Atoms for Peace","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55412003537240,"sku":null,"price":23431845.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0634904158316.jpg?v=1769711900","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en-us\/products\/atoms-for-peace_amok_2013_wag","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
